Privacy Policy

Boba Nova ("we," "us," "our") operates this website to share our menu, location, and hours, and to help you order or get in touch. This page explains what happens when you visit — plainly, and only covering what the site actually does.
What this website collects and shares
This site has no accounts, no checkout, and no forms that send us your personal information — ordering and payment happen on the ordering platforms' own sites (see below). What the site does do is load Google's advertising tag, which lets Google receive technical information about your visit; the next section explains exactly what that means and how to say no. There are no embedded social media widgets. We don't sell or rent visitor information.
Google advertising & measurement
Every page of this site loads Google's advertising tag (a Google Ads tag, ID AW-18466814772, served from googletagmanager.com). Depending on how our Google Ads account is set up, we use it to measure how our ads perform — for example, whether someone who clicked an ad later called us, asked for directions, or ordered — and to show Boba Nova ads to people who have visited this site, including on Google services and partner websites.
When the tag runs, your browser contacts Google, so Google receives information such as your IP address, your browser and device details, the page you are viewing, and the page that referred you. If you arrived by clicking one of our ads, an ad-click identifier may be saved in a cookie on this site (cookies whose names begin with _gcl_). Google may also read or set cookies and similar identifiers on its own domains, such as google.com and doubleclick.net. What Google does with that information is governed by Google's own policies — see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your choice. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether to allow advertising and analytics cookies. Until you choose, we tell Google's tag that all four of its consent settings are off: ad_storage (advertising cookies), ad_user_data (sending your data to Google for advertising), ad_personalization (personalised advertising, such as showing our ads to past visitors), and analytics_storage (measurement cookies). Choose Accept and all four are turned on; choose Decline and they stay off. You can change your mind at any time with the link in the footer of every page.
If you decline. Google's tag is told not to store advertising or analytics cookies and not to use your data for personalised ads. The tag may still load and send limited technical information that doesn't rely on cookies — such as the page address, browser details, and your IP address, which any website visit reveals — which Google may use for aggregated measurement and modelling. Blocking Google's domains or using an ad blocker will stop the tag from working at all.
More controls. You can manage Google's ad personalisation in Google's ad settings, delete or block cookies in your browser settings, or use your browser's or device's privacy and tracking-protection features.
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights over your information, such as asking what is held about you or asking us to stop certain uses. This website does not itself build profiles of visitors or keep a list of them; for information held by Google, use the Google tools above. Contact form
The "Send a Message" form on our About & Contact page is not currently connected to a live inbox — submitting it does not send us anything yet. If you need to reach us right now, please call (630) 410-8120 or message us on social media. If we connect the form to a real message service in the future, we'll update this page to describe what information is collected (typically just what you type into the form — name, email, phone if provided, subject, and message) and how it's used, which would be solely to respond to your message.
Basic hosting logs
Like effectively any website, ours is served by a hosting provider (Netlify) that may keep standard server logs for security and reliability — things like IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. We don't access these for tracking or marketing purposes, and we don't combine them with anything else about you.
Ordering through third-party platforms
When you order ahead, you're taken to an external ordering platform — Menufy (our primary option), DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Grubhub. Once you leave our site for one of these, your order, payment, and account information is handled entirely by that platform under its own privacy policy — we don't receive your payment details, and we don't process payments ourselves.
Social media & external links
Links to our Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook pages, and to Google Maps for directions, take you to those platforms, each governed by its own privacy policy. We don't control what those services do with your data once you're there.
Children's privacy
This website is a general-audience business site and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If what this site collects or does changes — for example, if we connect the contact form to a real inbox or add other analytics or advertising tools — we'll update this page to match. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
